Lesson 7: #Game on: Cyber safety 1 (20 minutes)

In this lesson we look at cyber-bullying and hacking by following a group of lower secondary students who find themselves in situations that catch them off-guard and teach them the consequences of making poor decisions online.

  • ​7.1: Show the class the character videos and discuss with students 
  • 7.2: Watch the "Stealing Grace" video (5.02 minutes) and discuss the themes brought up by the video.

Watch the character interviews. Then go to the E Safety Commisioner and read all of the character profiles.

Watch the following episode and discuss the issues with the class.
School’s out for the day! But there’s still a lot happening online for a group of young friends. Grace and Bianca are dealing with cyber bullying, hacking and potential betrayal, Ryan has downloaded ‘free’ ringtones, and Dean and Joel constantly playing Star Warriors.
